أعلن الدولي التونسي فرجاني ساسي، لاعب الزمالك، عن سلبية مسحة فيروس كورونا الخاصةً به، بعد تعرضه للإصابة منذ أيام.

وكانت الأيام الماضية قد شهدت تأكيد الفحوصات الطبية إصابة لاعب الزمالك بالفيروس “كوفيد 19″، ليتم عزله عن الفريق وتخلف عن البعثة العائدة من المغرب إلى القاهرة.

وقال فرجاني ساسي عبر حسابه بموقع “تويتر”: “الحمد لله نتيجة المسحة سلبية”.

وكشف مصدر خاص بنادي الزمالك، أن اللاعب سيحضر إلى القاهرة خلال يومين للانتظام مع الزمالك.

يُذكر أن الزمالك قد نجح في تحقيق فوز مستحق على مضيفه الرجاء البيضاوي المغربي، مساء أمس في ذهاب نصف نهائي بطولة دوري أبطال افريقيا.

ويستعد الزمالك لمواجهة الرجاء في إياب “السيمي فاينال” مساء السبت المقبل.

وأردف: “انا أقول ذلك لأنني أعلم أن شريف لن يتحدث عن هذا الموضوع، ولكني أقوله لأنني أشعر بأنه ظُلم بسببي”.

وعن أزمته مع سيد عبد الحفيظ مدير الكرة بالأهلي، قال: “لم يكن معي في الموضوع لأن الفترة الأخيرة كان يوجد مشادات بيني وبينه منذ أزمة أليو بادجي”.

وتابع: “تصالحت مع بادجي لأنني أشعر بإحساسه لأنه يشعر بأنه في غربة، وشعرت بهذا الإحساس من قبل، والسويسري رينيه فايلر جاء وقلت له سأصالحه ولكن فوجئت أن سيد عبد الحفيظ يقول لي هذا لن يمنعك من أن نخصم منك أموال”.

وأردف: “قلت له أنا لم أخطئ ولن يتم خصم أي شيء مني، وكان ردي بناءً على أمور سابقة، حيث تم خصم مبلغ كبير جدا من اللاعبين، وكلنا رضخنا للقرار وأنا اللاعب الوحيد الذي تم خصم منه على عامين، وليس سنة واحدة مثل بقية اللاعبين”.

واستأنف: “قلت لـ رئيس الأهلي محمود الخطيب ما حدث ورد عليّ بأن هذا مستحيل، فاتصل بمدير الحسابات وقال له إن كلامي صحيح، فقال له من أمرك بذلك فقال سيد عبد الحفيظ فطلب منه أن يلغي هذا القرار”.

واختتم: “سيد عبد الحفيظ عندما كنت أقول له لماذا يتم خصم هذه الأموال مني يقول لي أن أذهب للخطيب، في إشارة منه إلى أن الأخير يعلم وهو لم يكن يعلم شيئا”.

Fernando Llorente’s contract expires this summer and had fate been kinder to Harry Kane last week then the chances were probable that the 34-year-old Spaniard would have left Britain without giving a proper account of himself. This after all is a striker boasting 100+ goals in La Liga who went on to terrorise Italian defences in three Serie A-winning campaigns with Juventus. This is an elite centre-forward. A World Cup winner no less.

At Tottenham though – following his switch from Swansea where Llorente scored nearly one in two games but was always viewed as a novelty marquee signing for a club that couldn’t quite believe their luck in having him – things began to change. He arrived in North London somewhat long in the tooth and plainly as cover to the phenomenal Kane. A quality back-up to an emerging mega-star.

So it was that one of Europe’s deadliest hit-men, blessed with nuanced movement like few others possess, was no longer a leading man. He was an understudy.

Which is how it stayed and this despite irregular appearances owing to the England forward’s repeated injury lay-offs. Despite also a steady contribution that saw him score on his full league debut and last year claim a FA Cup hat-trick. When he came in he routinely impressed but was then gone again, back to the anonymity of the bench; back to being a stand-in. And had fate been kinder to Tottenham’s key figure then that’s how the wider public in this country would have remembered Llorente. Unfairly as it goes.

Only fate wasn’t so kind but rather downright cruel and the ankle ligament damage endured by Kane this week has ruled his competitor out of action for the foreseeable future. This leaves Mauricio Pochettino with Heung-min Son and Llorente as his chief attacking options and the Argentine has shown on past occasions that he prefers playing only the former centrally for certain games and both for others. The season is all to play for with a Champions League quarter final yet to be concluded and a fierce battle for top four hotting up. The door is ajar. It’s a golden opportunity for the understudy to make the headlines again.

It would take a foolhardy gambler to bet against Llorente taking full advantage of his chance. He has the proven pedigree to be a hero. He has the nous to fire Spurs over at least one of the lines they are striving towards with a season – if not an era – to define.

Back in January the 6ft 4 marksman fired home twice and made three assists during Kane’s last absence. Tottenham supporters will happily take the same again with only a handful of extremely consequential fixtures to contest.

‘Going to need you big time for the run in,’ was how one tweet put it this week. All eyes are fixing on the man who would be king.

On a night where Arsenal pulled off one of their greatest European results in recent memory, there was one stain on what was a memorable game.

33 minutes in Aaron Ramsey pulled up on the pitch feeling his thigh, and the Welshman was instantly replaced by Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Unai Emery later confirmed after the match that the midfielder had suffered a muscular injury and that the Juventus-bound fan-favourite will be out for a few weeks.

With hamstring injuries taking roughly four to six weeks to fully recover from, last night could have been the last time Arsenal fans have seen the 28-year-old in red and white colours.

No Arsenal fan or football supporter, in general, wanted to see the former Cardiff City man’s last game for the club be one where he is forced off injured, cutting his seasons short but had it not been for the result the occasion would not have been more damming.

This was a game where Arsenal did what many thought was unthinkable, go to Napoli and control the game on their terms. The Gunners were the better team from the first whistle to the last, and in doing so have made themselves the favourite for the Europa League.

With a semi-final series against Valencia just two weeks away, Arsenal can’t mourn the loss of Ramsey, they must regroup and continue to grind out the results they need that can get them back into the Champions League as well as achieve European silverware.

Ramsey’s injury and likely abrupt end to the season is the last thing Arsenal fans wanted to see, but if there was any game, performance or result it was to occur on, last night’s win over Napoli was just the occasion to do it.

According to Football Insider, Newcastle United have set their sights on signing Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck this summer, and the Magpies’ faithful have been quick to have their say on the intriguing transfer report following a tweet by fan account NUFC360.

Football Insider report that the 28-year-old isn’t expected to be offered a new deal by the Gunners with his contract due to run out in the summer, which means he will be available on a free come the summer window.

Football Insider say that a source close to the England international says the Tyneside outfit are ready to battle Premier League rivals Everton and clubs across Europe for the attacker’s signature, and they are keen whether manager Rafa Benitez ends up staying or not.

Should Welbeck arrive at St James’ Park it would be interesting to see whether he would be used up top or out wide, with Benitez preferring something of a 5-4-1 system as things stand.

Of course the centre-forward role could be his if Newcastle fail to sign Salomon Rondon on a permanent basis from West Bromwich Albion, with the Venezuelan impressing during his loan spell in the north east.

Tottenham Hotspur have slapped a €35million (£30.2m) asking price on Kieran Trippier amid interest from both Napoli and Manchester United, per Gianluca Di Marzio.

What’s the word?

Trippier has already been the subject of a bid from Napoli, per the aforementioned report, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side “insisting” on the signing of the England international.

An offer worth as much as €20m (£17.9m) has been submitted to the Premier League side, but they have demanded a fee of £30.2m to countenance a sale.

However, United are also said to be monitoring developments and Trippier, who was born in Bury, is said to prefer a possible move to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

The right-back, who enjoyed a fantastic 2018 World Cup, has struggled for form this season but he has still made 34 appearances in all competitions for Spurs, who are third in the Premier League and in the Champions League semi-finals.

Levy’s greatest trick

Receiving over £30m for Trippier will only further enhance the legend of Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

The right-back has been a liability for much of this season and proved that with a truly shambolic own goal in the Premier League clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

It is crazy that both United and Napoli, two clubs of great European renown, are even contemplating the idea of signing Trippier.

If they actually meet Levy’s asking price – he is a feared negotiator and has a reputation for squeezing every last penny out of buying clubs – then perhaps the game truly has gone mad.

On this form, Trippier is worth a third of his purported value.
