O Gigante da Colina decidiu entrar com um recurso no último dia 9 de março com o pedido de anulação da partida. No primeiro pedido, dias depois da derrota em São Januário, o Vasco anexou ao processo um documento audiovisual com os diálogos entre o árbitro de campo Flávio Rodrigues de Souza e a cabine da VAR. Vale lembrar que essa derrota foi decisiva para o rebaixamento do clube carioca ao final da competição nacional.

No entanto, o pedido foi apreciado e indeferido pelo presidente do STJD Otávio Noronha. Ao indeferir, o magistrado elogiou a argumentação vascaína, mas entendeu que não houve erro de direito e que nem o erro de fato (o impedimento de Rodrigo Dourado) estava efetivamente comprovado.

No ofício, Noronha lembrou que já há jurisprudência sobre o tema, ou seja, a pauta não é nova e uma decisão já havia sido tomada como exemplo. No caso, o exemplo já era contrário ao interesse vascaíno.

Routed in mid-table in the Premier League, there's no doubt that Chelsea once again need reinforcements, despite welcoming a number of additions in the summer. Mauricio Pochettino's side just haven't got going this season, with the former Tottenham Hotspur boss failing to make an instant impact at Stamford Bridge. Speaking on the potential for new arrives, Pochettino previously said: "It is not like this. Like you know, too many rumours going around the clubs. It is not what they translate to me. It is not necessary to sell to buy some players.

"I am very positive and happy with the squad. We are working, if something appears, we will announce. At the moment we are assessing and working normally, how we have been working from the beginning of the season."

With that said, one name that has been mentioned is Alphonso Davies. According to reports in Spain, Chelsea are ready to make their move for Davies in an attempt to beat Real Madrid to his signature. It's clear that Todd Boehly is once again not messing around when seeking reinforcements and given that the left-back's current Bayern Munich deal expires in 18 months, the Blues could take full advantage.

It may be difficult to convince the Canadian to choose Stamford Bridge over the Santiago Bernabeu, but money, as ever, seems unlikely to be the problem for those in London if they push on and attempt to secure a deal either this month or in the summer transfer window. A standout star, Davies could be one to watch.

Davies' most famous game for Bayern Munich is of course the 7-2 thrashing of Barcelona in the Champions League, in which he played a starring role for one particular goal. Praising the left-back for his assist on that night, teammate Joshua Kimmich said:

"That was unbelievable. Even I was a bit ashamed when I celebrated. He gets 99 percent of the credit for the goal. I only had to get the ball over the line."

It's clear that if Chelsea managed to secure a deal to sign Davies, then they could be getting one of the best around in his position. With Real Madrid also interested, it could be a hefty task, but one that the Blues are seemingly ready to pursue.

وأفادت بأن أندية الدوري الإنجليزي ترى أن هناك حاجة إلى أكبر قدر ممكن من الشفافية فيما يخص التحقيق مع مانشستر سيتي.

وقال محامٍ يعمل لصالح أحد أندية الدوري الإنجليزي: “لا تحتاج العدالة إلى التحقيق فقط، ولكن يجب أن نراها تتم كذلك، لا يوجد سبب من حيث المبدأ لعدم عقد الجلسة علنًا”.

وأضاف: “سيضمن ذلك تغطيتها بدقة في وسائل الإعلام وأن يتم التقاط التفاصيل الفعلية لأي قضية – ما تم ادعاءه بالضبط وكيف يتم الدفاع عنه – ومعرفتها من قبل المشجعين”.

وواصل: “هذا الأمر بمثابة سيطرة على الأندية والملاك – الذين يهتمون عمومًا كثيرًا بصورتهم – للالتزام بالقواعد ولكنه أيضًا حماية للمساعدة في ضمان جلسة استماع عادلة”.

When Essex won the County Championship in 2017, Jamie Porter and Simon Harmer shared 147 wickets between them. The plan was simple; Porter grabbed wickets with the new ball, Harmer came on once the lacquer had gone, wheeled away from one end and an assortment of seamers rotated at the other.The plan was pretty much repeated last season, but Essex’s batsmen didn’t get the volume of runs to back up Porter, Harmer and Peter Siddle. Here at Chelmsford against Kent, it’s been like the (not so) old times all over again. Alastair Cook’s 125 in Essex’s first innings (64 more than anyone else has managed in this match so far) gave his bowlers plenty to play with on a pitch that is assisting the seamers and providing enough encouragement for a very good spinner. Porter, Harmer and Siddle have played to their hearts’ content. At times it was like watching a particularly sadistic cat toying with a particularly infirm mouse.Kent took just 32 balls to wrap up Essex’s innings in the morning session. Thereafter the torture began. Sean Dickson, fresh from a match haul of 219 runs against Surrey at Beckenham last week, confirmed the impression that he is very much a feast or famine batsman by succumbing to the last ball of Porter’s opening over, giving a catch to Harmer in the slips.It wasn’t until the 53rd ball of the innings that we witnessed Kent’s second scoring shot as the returning Joe Denly and the usually fluent Zak Crawley were offered nothing by Essex’s disciplined opening bowlers. No width, nothing short, not the merest sniff of an opportunity. When Crawley departed to the last ball before lunch, caught in the leg trap by Ravi Bopara off Harmer, Kent had crawled to 42 for 3 off 23.1 overs.This was not the sort of cricket designed to attract a new audience of cricket agnostics. This was very much for the connoisseur but my goodness it was absorbing. It is often said that spinners get a raw deal with the way the red-ball fixtures congest at the start and end of the season. But a very good spinner – and Harmer really is a very good spinner – find ways to thrive be it in April, May or July. Last year, Surrey signed the pace-bowling Kolpak Morne Morkel, and he was arguably the difference that turned a good side into a Championship-winning one. Harmer’s impact at Essex has been no less profound. To watch him tie Kent’s batsmen in knots, and nail most of their feet to the crease for good measure, was to watch a serious operator prove how potent top-class spin bowling can be, whatever the conditions, whatever the time of year.He looks to get batsmen caught in the leg trap either at short-leg or, as he did twice here, round the corner at leg-slip. To achieve this he has to generate significant turn and, crucially bounce. His height helps. And yes, the pitch also helped, though not extravagantly. The fields that Ryan ten Doeschate sets for him resemble the sort of fields you see in old photographs of Jim Laker bowling in the 1950s. To watch Harmer is, it feels, like stepping back in time.At the other end, however, he is assisted by a trio of very able seamers who never release the pressure. Although Porter and Sam Cook took the new ball, arguably Siddle is the most important of the three. Hammering away at a length and letting his natural variations combine with slippery pace, he ensured Kent went nowhere. Between the three seamers, they bowled 53.2 overs conceding just 91 runs and bagging seven wickets. Very seldom did any of them try the short ball. There was enough in the wicket for them to know that relentless nagging accuracy would be enough.It is true that some of Kent’s batsmen are not in the best of nick, notably Daniel Bell-Drummond and Darren Stevens, but the former, particularly, was determined to stick it out. It was at times not pretty to watch as he groped and pushed at thin air ball after ball, but what does impress about this Kent side is that they didn’t collapse. But like a punch-drunk boxer who has failed to land a retaliatory blow, they really could do little more than delay the inevitable. It was to their credit that they lasted 88.2 overs, but a last-wicket partnership of 45 between Matt Milnes and Imran Qayyum – the highest of the innings – was nothing like enough.When Milnes was bowled off the last ball of the day, the only batsman not to be dismissed to a catch behind the wicket, Kent had conceded a first-innings deficit of 131. On what is a good sporting pitch they may struggle to get back into this match, but they have shown enough character, not just in their first innings but throughout the season so far, to suggest they’ll give it a damn good go.

Everton are believed to have turned down a bid for a "great" player late on in the January transfer window, according to a fresh update regarding his future.

The Blues have been linked with doing various incoming and outgoing business before the end of the month, but deadline day arrives on Thursday, so they have little time left to get anything done. West Ham winger Said Benrahma is one player reportedly being looked at by Everton, with the Algerian really struggling to be a key man for the Hammers this season, making only five starts in the Premier League.

Another who has been backed to move to Goodison Park is Marseille midfielder Pape Gueye, and the same applies to teenage Boca Juniors centre-back Aaron Anselmino, who is seen as a possible future partner in defence for Jarrad Branthwaite.

In terms of players leaving, Ben Godfrey is one individual who could move on, with the likes of Leeds United and Rangers showing an interest in recent months. Amadou Onana is another whose future remains up in the future, amid links to Newcastle United and Arsenal.

Everton reject Ben Godfrey bid

According to a fresh update from Football Insider, Everton have rejected a loan bid from Leeds for Ben Godfrey.

"The Whites’ bid has been rebuffed despite Everton’s openness to allowing the centre-back to leave Goodison Park this month. It is believed Toffees boss Sean Dyche has given the green light for the centre-back to leave as the club look to reduce their wage bill.

"A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Leeds are “still pushing” to land Godfrey and will return with an improved offer in a bid to agree a late deal. Leeds turned their attention to landing the England international after his move to Serie A side Atalanta collapsed earlier this month due to Italy’s tax break abolishment."

While having Godfrey around is no bad thing for Everton, in terms of retaining strong depth, it does feel as though a temporary move away this month would be best for him, allowing him to rebuild his career after falling out of favour under Sean Dyche.

Unless Dyche's stance suddenly changes, a summer exit from Everton looks almost certain for Godfrey, but a loan move away this month would also still be for the best.

William iniciou sua carreira nas categorias de base do Juventus, mas foi realmente na base do Palmeiras que o atleta destacou-se. Enduring a Premier League season to forget and with a current injury list of eight players, things are looking rather bleak for Pochettino and Chelsea, but the return of Nicolas Jackson could yet provide the London club with a welcome boost.

According to Nizaar Kinsella, Jackson is ready to return to the Chelsea side after being knocked out of AFCON with Senegal against Ivory Coast on penalties. Pochettino spoke about the possibility of the forward returning for the Liverpool game, only for it to come too soon.

The Argentine said earlier in the week, via The Evening Standard: "We are seeing [if it is possible]. Maybe it will happen. If it means we have a one percent more chance to win the game, for sure, we will try it.

"We are waiting. All I can say is that maybe he will be there. The other day, Ghana lost and were out, and Inaki Williams arrived a few hours before and played in the second half to beat Barcelona in the Copa del Rey. Why can’t Jackson arrive and score the winning goal?”

Jackson, of course, went on to miss the Anfield clash but is now reportedly ready to make his return for Chelsea's game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.

After scoring a hat-trick in a 4-1 thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur, Jackson went onto score just four times in his next nine games, with none in his previous three before setting off for AFCON. He must rediscover his form at a crucial time for Chelsea on his return, however.
